What is Auriculotherapy?
Auricular therapy treats pain and prevents diseases by stimulating certain points in the ear with tiny needles. The needles are held in place with medical tape allowing the patient to "wear" them for days. This type of treatment can be useful to treat phantom limb pain, children, individuals who needs long term pain management, assist women during labor & delivery and much more. This treatment, quick to administer, is easy and cost effective which is why we refer to it as "Express Acupuncture". In the military, the name "Battlefield Acupuncture" was coined for it's swiftness in providing relief to the wounded warrior.
The stimulation of these points is known as Auriculotherapy.
Auricular Acupuncture may be referred to Battlefield Acupuncture and is regularly used in the military for our troops who are deployed, injured in battle, suffer from PTSD.
